Don’t Starve Ashanti of development – Minister tells Gov’t
The Ashanti regional minister Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has entreated the Akufo-Addo led NPP government to not make the people of Ashanti region starve of development.
Speaking on Otec FM‘s morning show on Friday, the honourable minister explained that the Ashanti region is the heart of the New Patriotic Party and must not be taken for granted in terms of development.
According to him, a long and healthy life depends on a good heart and as such wants government to not turn it’s back on the heart of the party which is the Ashanti region.
“The heart of a person decides the life of a person so if you want to live and live long, don’t joke with your heart,” he advised.
Hon. Simon Osei Mensah added that the tremendous performance of the people of Ashanti region played a vital role in bringing the NPP to power, citing election results from the Asawasi constituency as an example.
He however entreated government to reward the region with massive infrastructural development to encourage more votes in future elections.
The former Bosomtwe MP however disclosed that government is poised to complete the Tepa, Sewua and Afari military hospitals which are under construction.
