NDC’s Current Structures are Weak – Kofi Adams

The National Organizer for the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has revealed that the current Structures of the party are weak.

“When we took over, the structures were weak but we must make sure that we hand over to the next Leadership very solid structures with recognized branch, regional and National leaders who can lead the party to win power.”

The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has begun efforts to get a database of all its members.

According to the party, it is doing away with the biometric register used for the election of their 2016 flagbearer because the imperfections in the expanded register contributed to the ignominious loss of the Party in the 2016 elections.

Speaking in an interview with Otec FM, Mr. Kofi Adams stated that it came to the notice of the party that people did not register in the interest of the party’s welfare but to vote for a particular candidate, a mistake they want to correct.

“You can not remove those people from the register unless you call for re-registration.” he emphasized.

The National Organizer of the Party, described the move as a good one, adding that, some members will not be happy with the exercise but it will help the party in the near future.

“One of the key things I have learnt is that the next Leadership will inherit an NDC with proper and working structures, truly speaking, we took over weak structures but we want to make sure that we hand over to the next Leadership, a solidly structured party which can easily identify members and executives.” he stressed.
