Flood hits parts of Kumasi and Accra
Parts of Kumasi especially swampy areas in the metropolis were hit by heavy downpour Friday morning leaving residents stranded as floods take over the streets and some communities.
The rains which lasted for about four hours caused irksome gridlock in both Kumasi and Accra, which also had a fair share of the thunderstorm.
Most school kids had to return home because most routes were not accessible because of the floods
Commuters at areas such as Kronum, Santasi, Airport roundabout, Asuoyeboah, Adoato and Abrepo junction were left frustrated over the traffic jam.
Areas affected by the flood in Accra include Kaneshie, Santa Maria, Awoshie, Mallam, East Legon and Race Course were left frustrated over the traffic jam.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned there will be more rains.
