Medeama star Eric Ofori Antwi to join Hearts of Oak

Meadeama SC goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has disclosed that Accra Hearts of Oak contacted him over the possibility of joining the club next season.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper joined Medeama at the beginning of the season but could be on his way out just a season into his three year deal.

Hearts of Oak are believed to be desperate to bring Eric Antwi to Accra.

The 23 year old has been Medema’s number one, but was suspended by the club midway in the season for going AWOL but apologized for his behavior and was recalled into the team.

He confirmed that Phobians have contacted him but a deal could only be struck if Medeama agrees to let him go.

“Hearts has contacted me and I told them to talk to Medeama. I have two more years with them. Before the start of the season, I told Medeama to allow me leave should I get any offer and am ready to play for Hearts”, he hinted, adding however that ” if that doesn’t materialize, I will still play for Medeama”.

Eric Antwi rose to prominence following his amazing displays at the FIFA under-20 World Cup in Turkey 2013, where Ghana placed third.
