Ghana’s Black Stars will hold a pre-tournament camping in Equatorial Guinea ahead of the 2017 Cup of Nations in Gabon. Ghanasportsonline.com can reveal.
The team will pitch camp in the nearby country to prepare for the tournament which kicks starts from January 14 to February 5.
Ghana have been drawn in Group D alongside Egypt, Uganda and Mali.
The camp will also see the Black Stars engage in series of friendlies before their opening Group game against Uganda on January 17 at the Stade de Port-Gentil.
The Black Stars will be hoping to end the 33-year trophy drought by winning next year’s competition in Gabon.
Coach Avram Grant and his team narrowly missed out on the trophy in 2015 when they lost on penalties on the finals to Cote d’Ivoire.
