All Containers, Kiosks at major streets in Kumasi to be demolished by 31st March 2023 – KMA sends strong notice

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has issued a directive for the immediate removal of all containers and kiosks from all commercial roads and areas within the Planning area of the Metropolis.

In a press release issued by the Public Relations Unit of KMA on Thursday , and copied to OTEC News desk, Container and kiost owners have   until Friday March,31, 2023 to comply with the directive.

According to KMA, most of the structures have been grossly erected without approval and permission from the appropriate authorities.

In the release, all containers and kiosks on the Western bypass, (Abrepo Junction to Santasi Roundabout), Eastern Bypass, (Asokwa Interchange to Anloga Junction), Santasi to Ahodwo, Adum Ministries Area, Ridge Danyame and Residency Area, Airport Roundabout to Duase among other areas will be removed if owners fail to comply.
