Man beheads Son for alleged ritual
A 31year old farmer Abdul Salam has been nabbed by Asanco police command for allegedly murdering his 6year old son, cutting off his head and legs at Adidaase near Amanso Amenfi in Wassa district ,western region.
An an eyewitness, Michael who disclosed the incident to Abesiriwa, the host of Ategya on Otec FM explained that, the boy got missing Monday April 24 and his mother enquired of his whereabout from the father but he denied setting eyes on him.
According to him, the mother of the deceased saw a cutlass which the suspect used the previous day on his farm and noticed some blood stains on it. She then became suspiscious and notified the Unit Committe of the area of her suspiscion.
The suspect was apprehended and upon interrogations, admitted to beheading his 6year old son for cash.
He also revealed that he severed the legs to sell, and buried the remaining part.
On why he did such a gruesome act, he explained that he murdered his son to make enough money to support his family because they were faced with seriuos financial crisis at home.
Abdul Salam is currently in the custody of Asanco police command for further investigation whiles the remains of the 6year old boy has been deposited at the Amanfi government hospital morgue.
