Mother of alleged Military brutality victim demands justice

Mother of  deceased Prince Kwaku Manu victim of an alleged military brutality, Madam Alima Isifu of Bekwai is calling on the government and the military to punish the two military men, Sgt Wilson Amhuagbin and Sgt Enoch Ahiagbo who mercilessly brutalised her son to death for no wrong doing.

According to Madam Isifu, her son who worked with a company that rents out  sound systems, canopies and chairs for events, was on one faithful Sunday returning from New Faman in the Bekwai municipality when they saw a piece of wood in the middle of the road, so his master asked him to remove it for them to move ahead.

She claims that there was nobody around at the time her son went to clear the wood from the road so they had no idea who left it there.

She narrated that his son was asked to wash their work vehicle the following day by his master when suddenly two military officers, Sgt Wilson Amhuagbin and Sgt Enoch Ahiagbo from nowhere pounced on him and subjected him to a severe beatings.

The distraught mother sobbed as she revealed to Abesiriwa, host of Atigya on Otec fm that, her son sustained several degrees of injuries and was rushed to the Bekwai Government hospital but died three days later.

The case, she said was reported to the Bekwai Police command and was referred to kumasi regional police command which led to the arrest of the two military officers after thorough investigations.

”We were informed that two suspects have been remanded and the case fowarded  to the Attorney General’s office in Accra but for the past two years nothing has been heard about it.”

” I am even in doubt whether it is true that the suspects have been remanded as they are claiming”,  i am therefore calling on the government to intervene and allow the law to take its course,  since justice delayed is justice denied.
