Asokore Mampong Assembly Rolls Plans to Absorb Unemployed Youth
Government has acquired a stretch of land for plantation of fruits to be used as raw materials in establishing a fruit processing factory in the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
“As part of our campaign promises to establish one factory in each district, we have acquired land to start a fruit processing factory in the muncipalty”, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Alidu Seidu revealed.
“The Assembly is working assiduously to give sustainable jobs to the youth in Asokore Mampong and Asawase. …over one hundred and fifty people are going to benefit”, he stated on Kumasi based Otec FM.
“I told electorates that if they vote for me and New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win power, I will give them jobs”,the 2016 NPP parliamentary candidate for Asawase recollects on the “Dwabrem” show.
According to him, he inherited whooping debt of two million cedis from the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration affecting smooth running of the Assembly.
Notwithstanding, he urged the people to repose confidence in him in getting sustainable jobs even if they have no formal education .
