Gov’t thanks Ghanaians For Sierra Leone Support
The Government of Ghana has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the diverse contributions towards the donation of items and cash to the government and people of sierra Leone during the recent natural disaster that struck the country.
A press release from the Ministry of Information stated that the timely support and massive donations of Ghanaians contributed significantly towards the recovery efforts of Sierra Leone after the country was hit by mudslides and flooding that caused extensive loss of lives and property.
According to the statement signed by Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, the sector Minister, the benevolent actions of Ghanaians have indeed demonstrated the love and commitment of Ghanaians towards sister African country, Sierra Leone.
”While Government’s relief support is officially ended, individuals, organizations and other bodies who wish to make further contributions are encouraged to do so through the Sierra Leone Embassy in Ghana,” the statement added.
