Former President Kufour lauds Nana Addo’s sterling performance

Former President John AgyekumKufour has described current President Nana Akufo Addo as an outstanding personality in terms of Ghanaian leadership.

Speaking at the 68th anniversary and speech and prize giving day of his Alma mater  Prempeh college, the former President praised Nana Addo and his government for their extraordinary and exceptional performance since they took over power some few months ago.

The former President noted that even though Ghana’s situation had taken a turn for the worse in the last eight (8)years after his administration, Nana Addo’s  ten -month old administration has performed to his admiration.

“I know Nana Addo is excellent but how he is running the country outstands me”, he emphasized.

Mr Kufour, however, noted he had come to understand why President Nana Akufo Addo stated during his maiden address to Ghanaians stated that he was in a hurry to work for the development of Ghana and that is exactly what he is doing at the moment.

Ex-President Kufour again lauded the President over his ministerial and other appointments as he believed the right men for the job had been appointed.

“You have made wonderful appointments and I am hopeful and sure you will succeed with them”, he concluded.

“Give Prempeh boys girl”

The former President whiles addressing a section of students, headmaster, staff, invited guests and traditional rulers who graced the school’s 68 anniversary and speech and prize giving day proposed that the first ever boys school which was established within the northern sector of the country be made either a mixed school or be given the chance to establish another and name them” Prempeh girls “.

This according to him will ensure gender balance in the country.

He suggested a school like the Yaa Asantewaa girls or St. Louis girls senior high schools be merged with Prempeh college to make it a mixed school.

“We have for 68 years lived on this campus all alone without girls and on this note; I suggest we are provided with our girls to make life on campus comfortable “he added.
