Mahama will lead NDC again? ‘Over my dead body’-Goerge Boateng

The 45-year old George Boateng who contested former president John Dramani Mahama in the 2015 primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said he will do anything within his power to stop former president John Mahama from leading the party in the 2020 elections.

According to him, the NDC will only prepare for another degrading defeat in the 2020 elections should they impose ex-president John Manama on the party as flagbearer.

The comment came following the announcement by the erstwhile leader of the party, John Mahama, to contest for the flagbearership position again in the coming presidential primaries.

Mr George Boateng described the former president as an outcast in the NDC fraternity who has nothing good to offer. Declaring his intentions to contest again in NDC’s presidential primaries on Otec Fm’s morning show, Nyansapo, Mr. George Boateng said he is coming back this time with a pragmatic campaign tactics that would see him through as the flagbearer of the party for the 2020 general elections.

The aspiring flabearer who was disqualified by the party in the build-up to the 2015 NDC primaries has reiterated his commitment to bring back the mighty umbrella to power.

George Boateng emphasized that Ghana under then president Mahama was in the hands of greedy few who milked the country to the brim.

He added that ex-president Manama lacks concrete policies that could move the country forward therefore if he gets the nod for 2020, President Akuffo Addo’s leadership places the New Patriotic Party miles ahead of the NDC.

Touching on the ninety-four (94) NDC Members of Parliament (MP) who have already endorsed the former first Gentleman’s candidature, Mr. George Boateng noted the 94 MP’s have already lost their seats.
