Dr. China to create welfare fund to Support NPP grassroots

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Treasure aspirant, Dr. Charles Dwamena, popularly known as Dr. China, has reiterated the need to put pragmatic measures in place aimed at strengthening the party from the grassroots to become a formidable one to enable them consolidates power for at least four continuous terms

Dr. CHINA who served as the party’s Director of Administration and Finance at the headquarters from 2016 to 2017 said, the party can stay in power for long if they build a highly resourceful one that will be able to attend to the welfare needs of the party members.

Speaking on OTEC FM’S DwabremProgramme on Friday February 2, 2018, Dr. China disclosed that his main objective is to help build a strong party from the grassroots by creating a robust Welfare Fund to be used for the welfare needs of the party members including the polling station and constituency executives, regional and national officers, communicators, the serial callers, and other party members who put their lives on the line for the party, but somehow not recognized.

“By so doing, our party can be in power for a long time to transform the country to the betterment of all Ghanaians”, he told the programme’s host AgyaOwusu.

Dr. China, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party, noted that this can be done, it should be done, and he is ready to do it if voted into office as the National Treasurer because he has the expertise and contacts required for raising funds to support party activities as he has done before.

Dr. China, who is lacing his boot to contest the Party’s National Treasurer position when the party opens its nomination for National Executives this year said this when he met with the party’s regional and constituency executives in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

Dr. China assured the party executives of using the links he has built over the years in Asia and other parts of the world to the rebuilding of the party together with other to-be-elected national executives if given the nod.

Currently, as the Deputy Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Dr. China has spent most of his years in serving the party in various offices in Ghana and abroad and is ready to serve again as the National Treasurer.

As a professional medical doctor who was trained and has published medicine book in China, Dr. Dwamena also holds MBA from the UK to his credit, and is also a founding member of the New Patriotic Party, China branch, a two-term branch chairman of NPP China, and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Caucus of the party, that includes NPP China, NPP Japan and NPP Australia.
