GRA gives tax stamp defaulters 3-month ultimatum
Manufacturers, importers and retailers who are yet to fix tax stamp on their products have up to three months to do so or risk having their products withdrawn from the market.
The directive follows the coming into force of the tax stamp policy which took effect yesterday.
Senior Revenue Officer at the Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, and Head of the Enforcement Team Kobina Donkoh, said the authority will have no option than to seize unstamped goods by the end of the transitional period.
He was speaking to the media during a tour of some marts within the capital Accra, to assess compliance with the policy.
During the tour only a few local products had the tax stamps affixed on them.
