Father Chops Off Daughter’s Hands For Money Rituals
Information gathered by otecnews indicates that, a 34 -years-old man has been arrested by the Sunyani Police for Chopping off his 11-year -old daughther’s hands for alleged ritual purposes.
According to Space FM source,Isifu Salifu intentionally cut off his daugther’s hands to be sent to a spiritualist to help him get money.
The incident happened at Yawhima a suburb of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region.
The victim(name withheld),who is receiving treatment at the hospital is a class 4 pupil at Emmanuel foundation school at Chiraa in the Sunyani West District.
According to the the victim, her father Isifu Salifu, has break up with her mother and he is not well catered for as she stay with him.
Isifu Salifu, who committed the horrific act has been arrested by police.
” It is true we have Isifu Salifu in police custody but we have transferred the case to Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU),so we are waiting for the out come”a police official said.
Meanwhile the chief of Yawhima, Nana Ansu Ababio, argued that Salifu does not effectively bear the responsibility of the child.
“His behavior (salifu) is questionable as he always characterized as a man who needs money at all cost” he stated.
“I have advised him but he did not listening to me as the community always talked about his bad behavior and actions” he added.
