The member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabigya South constituency, Hon Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, as part of activities to mark this year’s Sallah festival has joined the youth of Abuakwa and Nkawie at a separately organized soccer competition where he made cash donations, jerseys and footballs to the youth in the two communities.
The honourable member urged the youth to shun all forms of social vices and activities that endangers their lives and threatens social cohesion in the constituency and Ghana as a whole.
He encourged the youth to rather channel their energies into productive ventures that will help them secure a better future for themselves and their families.
Hon. Anhwere in an interview with Otec news affirmed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s commitment in giving the youth of Ghana the opportunities they need to excel. He further emphasized the commitment of President Akuffo Addo towards the zongo communities and made reference to the creation of the ministry of Inner city and Zongo Development as a good intervention by the current administration to fulfill all promised made to the Zongo communities.
Hon Anhwere asked for continuous prayers and support from the Muslims all over Ghana.
The MP assured all youth under his jurisdiction of his preparedness to addressing their concerns. He pleged to join the next Salah games to be replicated in other communities within the Atwima Nwabigya South constituency of the Ashanti Region.
