#12: Nyantakyi sues Anas – again

Former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, has sued investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI firm, again, at an Accra High Court.

This is the second time Mr Nyantakyi has sued Anas – the first suit was also at the High Court for defamation.

The embattled former GFA boss is praying the court to declare that the journalist’s secret recording of his conversations with him, and his subsequent publication of same, violates his “fundamental human rights to privacy and confidentiality in my dealings with others.”

Mr Nyantakyi wants the court to also declare that the recordings violated his “right to dignity”.

He is also praying the court to award damages against Anas and his Tiger Eye PI firm.

Anas, in June 2018, premiered a video which exposed massive rot in Ghana football.

Mr Nyantakyi was captured in the video accepting an alleged $65,000 ‘bribe’ or ‘gift’.
