The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) with the assistance of the Ashanti Regional Police has effected the arrest of gospel artiste, Brother Sammy, following claims of a product that cures HIV/AIDS.

A statement issued Saturday and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the FDA, Delese Darko, said Brother Sammy in a series of videos circulating on social media also claimed that the said product could also cure other chronic diseases.

Bro Sammy was arrested to “assist in investigations over claims of a product that cures HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases, which has not been approved by the FDA”.

The FDA was emphatic that it has “not registered any product for the cure of HIV/AIDS neither has any approval been given to the said artiste for the production and sale of any FDA regulated product”.
