AshantiGold SC set “money zone” as CAF confederation cup target

Communications Director for Ashanti Gold SC Eric Karikari says the club’s target for the forthcoming CAF Confederation cup is to reach the group stage.

The Black and Yellow based Obuasi club which was very consistent in the CAF champions league in the early 2000s and lost narrowly to Raja Casablanca on penalties in 1997 have set a money zone target their Confederation cup campaign.

“AshantGold is ever ready to compete with the big boys on the continent. Our target for the Africa cup campaign is to qualify for the group stage (Money Zone), Karikari told OTEC FM Royal sports on Tuesday September 1, 2020

“We have players who are ready and hungry for success, they are willing to fight for the team” He added

The Ghanaian representative, were eleminated by RS Berkane of Morocco last season and have parted ways with five players in their attempt to bring in quality players to blossom their squad ahead of this year’s CAF confederation cup.
