Arnold Kojo Asante, the CEO of Imajin Advertising, noted for honouring legends like Daddy Lumba, Abrantie Amakye Dede, A.B Crentsil and Kojo Antwi on it shows has been remanded for allegedly defrauding the National Organizer of the NDC Kofi Adams and several others.

Kofi Adams, who spoke to Onua 95.1 FM said: “Arnold told me he has a mining company and has secured a contract from Goldfields to supply tyres, so he needed some money to buy the tyres from a company.

He promised to pay back the money within two to three weeks after supplying the tyres to Goldfields, I gave him the money and led him to some ‘big men’ who also gave him money.”

He narrated, “In sum we gave him GHC 840,000, paying back the money became a problem, he keeps giving me stories, I even gave him the terms of payment but he doesn’t stick to his promises and for more than eight months we were going back and forth and sometimes he will tell us he is transferring the money, we will sit, wait at the bank and he will not send the money, he will later tell us the bank has a network problem and sometimes he speaks to people to plead on his behalf, we kept on waiting for our money and I can tell you he is not a good person.”

On Wednesday, 30th August 2017, an Accra Circuit Court issued a bench warrant for his arrest, after the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police service investigated him and realized he had no such business.

He was arrested and charged for defrauding by false pretense and the court ordered that he should be arrested and remanded to appear on 13th September 2017.

In a related development, another woman on Thursday alleged at the same court that Arnold Kojo Asante took her money, promised to buy her a car but he failed to deliver the car.

On this allegation, the court said Arnold Kojo Asante should be brought to court on the 11th September 2017 to face trial.

Meanwhile, there are further reports that several people have started trooping into the offices of the CID alleging that Arnold Kojo Asante has defrauded them.
