COVID-19 Vaccines Will Be Made Available In Ghana – Akufo Addo Assures

President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured of government’s unrelenting effort at procuring some COVID-19 vaccines to enable the country inoculate the citizenry against the novel coronavirus. In his 20th Update on the COVID-19 pandemic tonight, the President hinted that plans are far advanced to make these drugs available int he country soon.

He noted that the news about the success of the vaccine had trigger a worldwide interest amid concerns of its safer use and health implications. He assured that the relevant stakeholders have been engaged to examine ways of its application in Ghana.

President Nana Addo indicated with some assurance that the government and its allied agencies in charge of the management of the COVID-19 pandemic will ensure the safe deployment and application of the vaccine so that public anxiety about its usage are diffused.

“Ghana I assure you, will not be left out in getting access to the vaccines. I am aware of the anxieties relating to the safety and efficacy of newly developed vaccines. Government will ensure that the COVID-19 vaccines to be deployed in the country are effective and are safe.”

Ending his speech in the provision of the COVID-19 vaccine, President Nana Addo stressed that the Ministry of Information and collaborating agencies will in the coming weeks detail the nation on progress made in this regard. He assured that the public will be informed in die time as some since the virus broke out.
