Public services commission shots down appointment of acting GNPC CEO Opoku Ahwene Danquah

The faith of acting CEO of the GNPC, Mr. Opoku Ahwene Danquah is in limbo after an abysmal performance during an interview section by the Public services commission to confirm him as a substantive CEO.

There have been a lot of concussions on the part of certificate and working experience claimed by the acting CEO which bores the commission to advice the president to find a better person for the job.

A deep throat source revealed the report of the Commission has been hidden from the president and wonder how Mr. Ahwene could be at post till now.

As at the time of interception, the Minister of Energy, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh out of fears has also failed to draw the attention of the president as GNPC is hit with managerial crisis.

Most of the well known experienced workers have been poached by top international oil companies after been train by government.

Notwithstanding, some top lawyers of the corporation are also resigning as a result of mismanagement.

The acting CEO Mr. Opoku Ahwene Danquah, who is the president’s cousin, was appointed as acting CEO of GNPC last year April after the exit of the former CEO Dr. KK Sarpong.

He joined the GNPC after his uncle Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo became the president in 2017.In an interview with some of the GNPC workers bemoaned ominous posture of Mr.Danquah and how porous the system has become.

PSC did not find him suitable for the job but he is there because of upper hands from the powerhouse as the president cousin as they stressed.
