President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the Bosome Freho District Assembly Mr Kofi Adu Amoateng has been approved as the New District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.
Mr Kofi Adu Amoateng was overwhelmingly approved by Assembly members on Wednesday, August 16 2023, at the Bosome Freho District Assembly Hall.
He pulled 22 out of the total 29 votes representing 75.9 per cent after first round of elections becoming the new DCE for the District.
President Nana Akufo-Addo on July 28, 2023 appointed Kofi Adu-Amoateng as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti region.
Mr Adu-Amoateng replaces Mr Yaw Danso who was suspended in October 2022 over his alleged involvement in galamsey activities
Prior to his nomination, the newly approved DCE was the secretary for the New Patriotic Party NPP in the Bosome Freho Constituency.
Following his approval, Hon Kofi Adu Amoateng has pledged to unite the party, and worked for the betterment of the district.
For his part, the Member of Parliament for Bosome freho, Hon Akwasi Darko Boateng in an interview with OTEC News reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng, thanked President Akuffo Addo for the nomination.
He noted that, the office of the MP will laise with the new DCE and unite the constituency while bringing development to the area at the same time.
He commended the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah and Assembly members in the area for ensure the swift approval of the nominee.
