
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen
The leader for Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, branded in political circles as ‘Alan Cash’ says he still have strong base in the governing New Patriotic Party NPP despite resigning from the party.
The former minister of Trade and Industry has observed that, party members at the grassroots level who believe in his ideologies are still behind him although he’s no longer part of the party.
Speaking to Dr Cash on the Kumasi based OTEC 102.9 FM’s afternoon political show Dwabrem on Tuesday October 3, 2023, Mr Kyerematen emphasized that, he is still s strong in the party.
“You will all agree with me that, you cannot mention three leading persons in the party without mentioning the name Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen “
“Prior to my resignation as a member of the NPP, i was a huge figure in the party, even now i still have that numbers in the party, and i can assure you that my followers in the party are still behind me” He said.
He noted, positive of causing a major shake up in the country’s elections as the first independent candidate to will presidential elections in the history of Ghana.
Alan Kyeremateng’s Resignation
Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten on Monday September 25, 2023 announced his resignation from the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP.
Mr Kyerematen among others cited unfair treatment from the party as one of the reasons he parted ways with the NPP.
“Is abundantly clear to me, that my services and contributions to the Party are not appreciated, and that my continuous stay in the Party will create further tension and division, which is an exact replay of circumstances that led to my decision to resign from the Party in 2008.
“I believe I have served my country well and intend to continue to do so”
Addressing thz media on that faithful day, Mr. Kyerematen emphasized his commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the country, including economic development, job creation, and social welfare. He stated that his decision to run as an independent candidate was driven by his belief that this approach would enable him to better serve the interests of the Ghanaian people.
