Diehard Supporters of Kennedy Agyapong Withdraw Support for NPP Over Alleged Demolition of Financier’s Houses

A group calling itself Diehard Supporters of Kennedy Agyapong has directed its members to reserve their campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) until further notice.

The group is protesting the alleged demolition of houses belonging to Mr. George Oti Boateng, a major financier of the ruling government.

According to the group, some top officials in government have destroyed a multimillion-dollar estate belonging to Mr. Oti Boateng at Agringono in Accra.
The group claims that the demolition was politically motivated and that Mr. Oti Boateng has been targeted because of his support for Kennedy Agyapong.
The Patron for the group, Nana Opoku Agyeman, addressed the media in a press conference on Monday and disclosed that thousands of their members will not vote for NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, if the authorities fail to apologize and compensate Mr. Oti Boateng.
The group is demanding justice for Mr. Oti Boateng and is calling on the government to take immediate action to address their concerns.
