President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has taken a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, stating that he lacks the capacity to lead Ghana again.
Speaking at the official unveiling of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, in the Ashanti Region, President Akufo-Addo criticized Mahama’s past performance, saying he failed to meet public expectations during his administration.
The President noted that Mahama is the only president in the history of the fourth republic to have served only one term, indicating his poor performance.
He urged Ghanaians not to entrust Mahama with the presidency again, emphasizing that the country deserves better leadership.
The event, held at the Kumasi Jubilee Park, was attended by thousands of NPP loyalists who hailed the party’s ticket for the 2024 polls.
