Dr Kwame Afriyie, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Green Shield Hospitals, over the weekend presented one thousand pieces of specially branded party t-shirts to the Western- North Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Felix Foster Ackaah.
The gesture by the medical practitioner was intended to aid the activities of the party in the Juaboso, Bodi, Suaman and Sefwi Wiawso Constituencies in the region.
Handing over the T-shirts to Mr Ackaah, Dr Kwame Afriyie said, “this is to help reduce the pressure on parliamentary candidates for T-shirts during the peak of the campaigns”.
NPP’s Superior Message:
Dr Afriyie encouraged party members to work hard by telling residents in their communities about the policies and programs the NPP since 2017 had implemented for the benefit of the populace.
This approach, he noted, would help the people to discern and come to the realisation the work the NPP had done since winning power.
The medical practitioner said the NPP has a solid message and a solid messenger in its flag-bearer, Dr Mahamodu Bawumia who is able to tell the people what the party had done in government as well as the digitalisation agenda he promises to further deepen.
“The NDC has no clear-cut message but the onus lies on NPP members to sell the good message of Dr. Bawumia and carry out our campaigns at every corner of our communities and make sure that on December 7, the people will come out in their numbers and cast their votes for Dr. Bawumia and our parliamentarycandidates”, Dr Afriyie appealed.
Appreciation:
Receiving the items, Mr Felix Foster Ackaah, the Western North Regional Secretary of the NPP thanked Dr Kwame Afriyie for his support and contributions towards the operations of the NPP.
He mentioned that Dr Afriyie had consistently shown support for the NPP in the constituency, regional as well as national levels.
The Secretary therefore tasked well-to- do party members and government appointess in the Western North Region to emulate the gesture by the medical practitioner and provide resources to help the NPP to prosecute a well oiled election campaign ahead of the December 7 polls.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on party faithful especially well to do persons including government appointees to support the various parliamentary candidates in all forms to ensure that the New Patriotic Party wins the majority of seats in Western North Region and the Presidency as well”, Mr Ackaah stated.
Background of Benefactor:
Dr Kwame Afriyie, a medical practitioner, has been an integral part of the NPP in the Western and Western North regions.
In 2022, he picked nomination forms to contest as National Organiser of the party but later withdrew to support the current National Organiser, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye.
Dr Kwame Afriyie is known in the NPP as a typical grassroots man.
He has since served the party as polling station executive, electoral area coordinator, regional patron for Alpha Patriots and Loyal Ladies, two groups linked to the NPP.
The Medical Practitioner is also known to be a major financier of the NPP in the Western North Region.
