The Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has said that the NDC administration led by His Exellency John Dramani Mahama inherited an economy in a deep crisis but assures to fix it
According to him, despite the previous administration’s damage to the economy, he said President John Dramani Mahama will restore hope in the economy.
He claims that the president is taking steps to address the economic issues.
“He will fix the economy, restore hope, and build the Ghana we want,” the Finance Minister said when presenting the 2025 budget statement.
He informed Parliament that the Mahama administration took over a severely indebted and crisis-ridden economy.
Regarding procurement, the Finance Minister promised that the Mahama government will adhere to the approved budget and the public procurement process.
“We will respect limit of the appropriations as approved by Parliament,” he said.
In reference to the 24 Hour Economy, the Finance Minister promised that “We will be presenting the 24-hour economy policy to Parliament in due course.”
