Yeji District Court remands Kobby Gh for allegedly murdering his girlfriend
The Yeji District Court has reminded Hayford Boateng, popularly known as Kobby Gh, to police custody to 10 July over the alleged discharge of a firearm that fatally struck the victim, Yaababy believed to be his girlfriend
The Court, upon further investigation and interrogation, discharges Kojo Diamond – Obolo and other person who were present during the unfortunate incident at Seker, small town close to Yeji in the Bono East Region
We will recall that GH Kobby was arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend, Philipa Yaa Baby, accidentally at Seker in Yeji on Tuesday, June 10, 2025
The social media personality reportedly shot his girlfriend in the left arm after he retrieved a gun from his luxurious car to fire warning shots
GH Kobby’s two male friends were also arrested by the police to assist with investigations into the matter
According to eyewitness accounts, Yaababy was rushed to St Martin’s Hospital in Yeji, where she was pronounced dead.
Prosecuting in court on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, by Yeji police service, the prosecutor suspended the previous case and filed a fresh one against the key suspect, Kobby Gh.
According to the prosecution at the Yeji Magistrate Court, the prosecutor indicated it belief that the suspect Kobby Gh had killed the victim.
The prosecutor insisted Gh Kobby remain on the police custody to allow for further probe into the case – discharging his two friends, Kojo Emmanuel and Michael Kabutey
Per the judge’s order, Kobby Gh is scheduled to make another appearance in court on July 10, 2025.
