Kwadwo Owusu Bempah honors over 500 Nhyiaeso women with cash and cloth

Kwadwo Owusu Bempah, aspiring constituency Chairman for Nhyiaeso NPP
Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Bempah, an aspiring Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), hosted over five hundred women on Monday evening.
The event, held at the True Vine Hotel in Kumasi, saw both young and elderly women from across the constituency receive high-quality wax prints and cash donations.
The gesture was organized to commemorate International Women’s Day, which had occurred the previous day.
Tribute:
Addressing a capacity crowd, Mr. Bempah expressed profound gratitude for the pivotal role women have played in his personal and professional journey.
He shared an emotional account of his upbringing, noting that as the ninth child of parents who eventually separated, he witnessed firsthand the resilience of his late mother.
After the separation, his mother relocated to Boadi in the Ashanti Region, where she worked tirelessly as a “chop bar” operator and petty trader to support the family.
“My industrious late mother is the reason I am who I am today,” Mr. Bempah remarked.
He added, “my mum single-handedly paid my school fees and cared for me until I graduated from university, began my career at Goldfields, and eventually traveled to China to further my professional development.”
He added that his mother’s legacy inspires his commitment to the women of Nhyiaeso.
“I view every mother and woman in this constituency as my own. Because my mother showed me that women are capable of steering their children toward greatness, I pledge to celebrate the women of Nhyiaeso every year for as long as I live”, the aspirant committed.
Service:
Turning briefly to his political ambitions, Mr. Bempah emphasized that his bid for the NPP Constituency Chairmanship is rooted in a desire to lead through service.
He maintained a composed stance on the upcoming internal party elections, stating that he does not view the contest as a “do-or-die” affair.
“Competition is a platform to showcase one’s talents and demonstrate how those skills can be harnessed for the development of the people,” the entrepreneur noted.
He added, “While I am confident in a victory, this election does not define my commitment to this constituency. My reverence for the people of Nhyiaeso transcends politics.”
Endorsements:
Several incumbent and former constituency executives took the stage to endorse Mr. Bempah’s candidacy, citing his humility, intellectual depth, and calm temperament as essential qualities for leadership.
Mr. Akwasi Appiah, a former Assembly Member for Pataase and an aspiring 1st Vice Chairperson for the constituency, spoke highly of Bempah’s unifying influence.
“Kwadwo Owusu Bempah possesses two critical elements for our success: the ability to unite people and the resourcefulness to implement meaningful projects,” Mr. Appiah stated.
He added, “Bempah has the temperament and the humility to bring everyone together, ensuring that our collective programs for Nhyiaeso are fully realized.”
