Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Asanteman COKA, has visited the Masjid Kubura Mosque at Aboabo to worship with the Muslim community.
The visit was to also express gratitude to God for his victory in the NPP chairmanship election.
Speaking at the mosque on Friday, September 4, 2026, Asanteman COKA said his major objective as Regional Chairman is to unite the party and work towards bringing the NPP and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, back to power in the 2028 general elections.
He said Muslims have played a significant role in the history and development of the NPP, describing them as important stakeholders and shareholders of the party.
He cited the party’s former Vice Presidents, who he noted have largely been Muslims, as evidence that the NPP has recognized and valued the contributions of Muslims over the years.
Asanteman COKA therefore appealed to the Muslim community to support the NPP and help mobilize votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 elections.
He said a united effort between the party and the Muslim community will contribute to achieving what he described as a better Ghana under an NPP government.
