The Office of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has issued a statement denying reports that he sought the party’s decision on early primaries and postponing the July 19 NPP National Delegates conference.
The reports, which were published on some media platforms , have been described as false.
According to the statement, President Akufo-Addo has been out of the jurisdiction for some time and has not made any such requests to the party, either through a petition or any other means.
The statement emphasized that the former President does not have any such intentions.
The Office of the former President believes that those behind the publications have an agenda of their own, which has nothing to do with promoting the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The statement was signed by the Office of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Former President of the Republic.
The denial comes amid speculations and rumors surrounding the NPP’s internal affairs.
