NPP primaries: I deserve to lead NPP; I’ve also paid my dues to the party – Dr Adutwum

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum has stated confidently that he deserves the mandate to lead the party into the next general elections, stressing that his years of service, loyalty, and contribution to the NPP make him the most qualified candidate for the job.

Speaking during an interaction with delegates as part of his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Adutwum emphasized that leadership of the party should be entrusted to individuals who have demonstrated commitment, hard work, and sacrifice over the years.

“I deserve to lead the NPP,  I’ve also paid my dues to this great party,” he declared.

“Leadership is earned through service, dedication, and a consistent record of supporting the party in good times and in difficult moments.”

He highlighted his long-standing involvement in party activities since 1992 at both the grassroots and national levels, noting that his contributions have strengthened the party’s structures and advanced its electoral fortunes.

According to him, the NPP must reward loyalty and competence by choosing a leader who understands the party’s history, its foundation, and the aspirations of its supporters.

Dr. Adutwum also assured delegates that he possesses the vision and strategic insight needed to reposition the party for victory in the upcoming elections. He pledged to unite the party, energize the grassroots, and present a compelling agenda to the Ghanaian electorate.

He called on delegates to vote based on merit and track record rather than emotions or external pressures, insisting that the NPP’s future depends on electing a leader who has both the experience and the passion to deliver
