The Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Adgoza, says government has awarded road projects worth 5 billion dollars, making it the biggest road projects in Africa.

According to him, President Mahama’s Big Push agenda, which seeks to construct hundreds of kilometers of roads in Ghana, is the biggest in Africa.

“President Mahama has been going around the country for the past few months cutting sod for flagship infrastructure projects like any other,” he said.

“I can say for a fact that, there’s no single road infrastructure project currently ongoing in the whole of Africa bigger than the Big Push,” he added.

The Minister said this when President John Dramani Mahama cut sod for the construction of Roads in the Bono Region on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

He assured that all roads under the Big Push Agenda will be monitored keenly to ensure value for money while delivering quality projects at the same time.
