Kwabena Agyepong displays generosity at book launch

The Holy Family Parish in Mataheko became a scene of celebration and camaraderie on Sunday, December 21, 2025, as Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a prominent flagbearer aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), graced the launch of The Maid’s Desire.

The book was authored by his spokesperson, Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko.

The ceremony commenced with a celebratory Mass officiated by Rev. Father John Kwame Owiredu, the parish’s Assistant Priest.

While the event drew a large gathering of family, friends, and well-wishers, the atmosphere reached a crescendo when Ing. Agyepong arrived.

Having only returned from a demanding campaign tour in Bolgatanga the previous night, his presence was seen as a profound testament to his commitment to his staff.

Spontaneous Act:

In a remarkable display of humility and patronage, Ing. Agyepong bypassed the formalities of the auction. Before the Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Raph Anarfi Barima, could even begin the proceedings, the NPP stalwart purchased the first signed copy of the book for GHS 10,000.

This spontaneous gesture sparked an immediate ovation from the audience.

Attendees noted that the act perfectly mirrored the values of “Service, Sacrifice, and Selflessness” championed in his “Renewal and Hope” campaign.

Distinguished Presence:

Ing. Agyepong was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Lawrencia Agyepong, who serves as the Director of the Center for International Relations at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC).

The couple’s presence added a touch of elegance to the proceedings, and they were warmly received by the parishioners and invited guests alike.

Mentor’s Impact;

Reflecting on the event, the author, Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, expressed her profound gratitude to her mentor.

She described the gesture as more than just a financial contribution, but rather a reflection of a leader who genuinely seeks to uplift those around him.

“Ing. Agyepong’s character is defined by his belief in people,” Nana Ama remarked.

She added, “His presence today captures the heart of a leader who leads with kindness.”
