A national chairmanship aspirant of the Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, has declared his intention to rebuild the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into a formidable election-winning machine ahead of the next general elections.
Speaking on OTEC FM’s afternoon political show Dwabrem on Thursday, February 25, 2026, hosted by Prince Nii Ardey, popularly known as Dr Cash, Mr. Agyarko stressed the urgent need to restore the party’s solid foundation and discipline.
“I want to rebuild the NPP to its solid strength,” he stated. “The party needs people like me to build it into an election-winning machine.”
The former Energy Minister underscored that his primary objective is to ensure victory for the party’s flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming presidential election.
“My core aim is to make our flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, become President of Ghana,” he affirmed.
Mr. Agyarko further highlighted his leadership style, describing his track record as “no nonsense,” which he believes will help instill discipline within the ranks and file of the party.
“With my ‘no nonsense’ track record, I will instill the much-needed discipline among our ranks and file,” he said.
He also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization to rejuvenate the party’s patriotic spirit nationwide.
“I will mobilize the party from the grassroots to the national level to rejuvenate the patriotic spirit of our members so that we can beat any opponent in the coming elections,” he added.
Mr. Agyarko’s declaration signals what could be a competitive race for the NPP’s national chairmanship as the party positions itself for the next electoral contest.
