President John Dramani Mahama is set to undertake another reshuffle involving Chief Executives of state institutions as part of efforts to strengthen leadership, improve coordination and enhance performance across government.
The impending changes form part of a broader reorganisation of the government, which has already seen a ministerial reshuffle and the dissolution of selected boards.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, the Presidency said the changes reflected President Mahama’s determination to ensure that government appointees remain aligned with the administration’s policies and priorities.
The President has also reiterated his resolve to maintain discipline, accountability and effective leadership across all sectors of government.
According to the statement, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Chief Executives, board members and other political appointees are expected to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence and humility while respecting established administrative procedures.
The Presidency warned that conduct that undermines government cohesion, institutional authority or the effective implementation of government policy would not be tolerated.
It further reminded all appointees that public office is a privilege and an opportunity to serve the Ghanaian people.
The performance of appointees across all sectors will continue to be assessed, the statement said, adding that President Mahama would take any further action necessary to safeguard the integrity, effectiveness and responsiveness of his administration.

The Presidency urged all appointees to cooperate and remain committed to delivering the government’s mandate and improving the lives of Ghanaians.
