Nana B’s 30-bed children’s ward project at Tafo Govt Hospital 85% complete – residents applaud

The 30-bed capacity children’s ward project at the Tafo Government Hospital, funded by the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, is currently 85 percent complete.

The development has attracted praise from residents in the area, who have hailed the NPP stalwart for standing by his words and delivering on his promise.

Nana B, who is contesting for the Vice Chairmanship position of the NPP, has received widespread applause for keeping to his pledge and single-handedly funding the project.

A visit to the project site by OTEC News Desk on Thursday, September 30, 2026, revealed that work is progressing steadily, with workers actively on site.

It will be recalled that during the sod-cutting ceremony in 2021, Nana B set a five-year timeline to complete the project by the end of 2026 to mark his 45th birthday.

When completed, the children’s ward will not only provide a safe space for mothers and newly born children but will also complement the work of health workers by providing access to quality healthcare for hundreds of people.

Some residents in the area commended Nana B for his honesty, commitment, and care for humanity, describing the project as a timely intervention that will ease pressure on the hospital.
