The Ashanti Regional election of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is currently underway at the Agric Training Institute at Ejura.
Delegates, Supporters as well as party’s big wigs in the region are trooping to the congress grounds which comes of today 21 April,2018 to elect regional party executives.
Frederick Fredua Anto, the NPP National Vice Chairman, who made the disclosure, has stated that the venue is appropriate.
According to him, the venue has enough space to accommodate the hordes of party members, who would be drawn from the region.
Mr. Anto noted that anything that is needed to be done to make the venue ready for the big party event would be carried out.
Security at the Ejira Agric college where the event takes place is very high as the Ghana police service have teamed up with private security provider for the NPP to ensure a peaceful and colourful election.
It is still unclear as to time the process will commence but one could see all is almost set.
There have been various cultural display and jama chants by various groups of the party.
There have been no roit or chaos yet. National executives aspirants posters pops up.
Even though the yet to be started Ejura elections is a regional level one, poster, flyers and hugs banners of some aspirants vying for national positions are seen all over from the town’s station through to the Agric college.
