NPP National Delegates Conference: Voting finally kicks off

The over 6000 delegates of the ruling NPP have commenced voting to elect new party executives.

The elections which were supposed to have started around 12pm started at exactly 6pm.

Some aspirants had earlier accused incumbents and other party big wigs of masterminding a delay tactics just to manipulate the process to suit their preferred candidates.

After several meetings and deliberations, all stakeholders agreed on a consensus for voting to begin.

Meanwhile all TESCON executives who form part of the Electoral College have been barred from the polls.

According to the Deputy Electoral Commission Director Dr. Serebour Quaico who is in charge of the elections, a group within has secured a court injunction which orders TESCON executives are not supposed to be allowed to vote.
