Kotoko Celebrates early Christmas with ‘Special School’ kids

img-20161220-wa0025Kotoko players and officials have today celebrated Christmas a little earlier than December 25, 2016 with kids at the Garden City Special School, Asokore Mampong.
The club, under the leadership of Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei embarked on the visit to the Special School to donate food items and toiletries to the kids.

The team presented 2bags of 50kg rice, a sack of washing powder, a box of kalypo, cooking oil 2boxes of assorted drinks, a box of key soap, toilet rolls and chocolate beverages.

Head of Communications for the team, Obed Acheampong explained to Otec Royal sports that the club’s decision to visit the school was arrived at last week, as Management pondered over what to do this Christmas for the team and also for the community within which they serve.

According to him, the players will also spend some quality time with the kids to prepare them for their special child games next year.
“We find it extremely important to undertake such an event. The Christmas season is here and the best we can do for ourselves and for the people we live with, is to show love in the simplest possible ways” he said.

Mr. Obed Acheampong intimated that Kumasi Asante Kotoko has the welfare of the community in which they find themselves at heart and hopes to repeat the gesture in and out of season.
