Black Queens captain, Elizabeth Addo has revealed that she has no invitation to the the 25th edition of the annual CAF Awards tonight in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.
Elizabeth Addo has been nominated for Women’s Player of the Year category and is contesting Asisat Oshoala from Nigeria, Gabrielle Aboudi of Cameroon, Janine Van Wyk of South Africa and Raissa Feudjio T. of Burkina Faso for the award.
Speaking to Otec royal sports, the skipper disclosed that neither CAF nor the GFA has sent her any invitation to attend the prestigious awards ceremony in Abuja even though it is about a few hours to the ceremony.
”i have consulted the Ghana football association to find out whether they have my invitation but they say nothing has been sent to them from CAF” she added.
According to her, the Gfa has rejected female football and would have taken this award ceremony serious, had it been a black stars player nominated.
