Nana Addo’s inauguration ceremony preparations (PHOTOS)

On Saturday, 7 January 2017, president-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamud Bawumia will be sworn in as President and Vice President of Ghana respectively, to begin what the Npp calls the era of prosperity.

About 6,000 guests are expected at the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Independence square in Accra which will witness some heads of state, the diplomatic corps, members of Parliament and senior citizens.

Spokesperson for the transition Team, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has revealed that, invitations have gone out to the heads of states and the heads of government agencies that will be joining the ceremony.

The inauguration of the 7th Parliament of the 4th Republic will take place between 10:00pm and midnight on the night of the 6th January to the morning December and 7th January at the parliament house.

Members of Parliament will park at parliament and will be chauffeured to the Black Stars Square.
The Police Administration says it is ready to maintain high security across the country ahead of Saturday’s inauguration and About 5,000 security officers will be deployed for the Presidential inauguration ceremony on Saturday.

Preparations are seen to be ongoing ahead of Jan 7th Inauguration ceremony.
