Prez names Osei Assibey Antwi as Kumasi mayor

President Akufo-Addo has nominated former deputy Ashanti regional minister Osei Assibey Antwi as Mayor for the Kumasi metropolis.

A letter from the office of the president, signed by Director of communications, Eugene Arhin named Greater Accra Regional secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mohammed Adjei Sowah as the Mayor of Accra, Iddrisu Musah popularly known as Musah Superior and Anthony KK Sam have been nominated as the Metropolitan Chief Executives of Tamale and Sekondi/Takoradi   Assemblies respectively.

Mr Osei Asibey is a former first Vice chairman of the ruling New Patriotic in the Ashanti region and is said to be very influential in the region

Their nomination is subject to the approval of their respective assemblies.

President Akufo-Addo has also appointed Charles Bissue as presidential staffer subject to consultation with the council of state.
