Did Koku Anyidoho refer to Mahama As ”Joe Boy” ?

Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyido has advised members of the party to desist from attacking other members who do not support their choice of flagbearer.

In an attempt to describe the scenario, Koku Anyidoho stated that ”You say you want Joe Boy to remain flagbearer of the party, why not support your Joe Boy but decide to attack another member who also believes Akua Attaah can lead the party.”

”Support your Joe Boy and let somebody support his Akua Attaa”, he said on Okay fm.

Many believe that the ”Joe Boy” refers to NDC’s 2016 flagbearer, John Mahama whose supporters have for some time now been challenging calls for a new flagbearer for the party in the 2020 elections.

Koku Anyidoho, in March this year told the media that his relationship with former President John Mahama was mostly borne out of a call to duty.

Mr. Anyidoho was however known to have a very warm relationship with John Mahama’s predecessor, John Evans Atta Mills, which stretched beyond compulsion, according to the NDC Deputy General-Secretary.

Most Ghanaians have come to believe that all is not well between the former president and koku Anyidoho after he stated that he loved President Mills; but only worked for President Mahama.”

The question many are asking is, was the deputy general secretary of the NDC, Koku Anhyidoho referring to the 2016 flagbear of the party, John Dramani mahama whose supporters have been calling to lead the party again in 2020 when he used the name ”Joe Boy” ?
