Let’s Be Decorous, The Elders Have Spoken – Koku Anyidoho

Deputy general secretary of the National democratic congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has called for respect and decorum in the party in support of the calls by the party’s council of elders.

The Council of elders of the opposition NDC headed by Alhaji Iddrisu Mahama have called for calm and decorum in the party, and advised members to make use of the available channels to address all grievances.

”woe betides any party, family or country without elders, NDC is grateful to our elders for their intervention”

”Enough is enough, the wrangling must stop, the elders have spoken, so from now onwards there should be a sense of decorum and respect, not to take away the freedom of speech from members but to ensure sanity in the party”, he stated.

According to him, democracy allows all members of the party to express their views, but utterances and writings should all be in a decorous manner bearing in mind that the party has elders.

”You say you want Joe Boy to remain flagbearer of the party, why not support your Joe Boy but decide to attack another member who also believes Akua Attaah can lead the party”, he queried.

He charged members to desist from the insults and vilification, and allow each member to support who he/she believes can lead the party to victory since the party belongs to no individual.

”Let us allow democracy to work by allowing each member to support the candidate of his choice because at the end of the day, delegates will choose whoever they deem fit to lead the party and we all throw our support behind that person for victory in 2020”, he advised.
