Deputy General secretary of the National Democratic congress NDC, Koku Anyido has stated that the NDC is in a comfortable lead to win the 2020 elections.
”At this point, all I can assure you is that the NDC is still in comfortable lead…..we are in a comfortable lead to win the 2020 elections, we are coming back and we shall invite you to our congress after we have won”, he stated.
In a solidarity message to the Npp at the 2017, 25th Annual Delegates Conference in Cape Coast in the Central Region under the theme: “NPP, Delivering on our Promises; our Roots, our Strength, our Future”, Mr Anyidoho said that the NDC handed over a peaceful and fast developing nation to the NPP under president Akufo-Addoand all they demand is more peace and more development.
This year’s conference coincides with the 25th Anniversary of the NPP and 70th Anniversary of the founding of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC).
”As the governing party, the NDC shall demand from you , peace and development….we won’t compromise on it, we will not use ”Womafunu” but we shall demand peace.
He charged president Akufo-Addo to ” Give us the jobs, give us the roads, give us the free education, pay nursing and teacher trainee allowances, pay the DKM and God is love customers, pay the contractors and stop the army worms from entering Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana”.
”We have a well trained Ghana armed forces and we don’t need an army of worms”, he noted.
Koku Anyidoho called for the taming of the Delta and invisible force members who have been let loose which according to him has created too much tension in the country.
”Mr president, the NDC will not create any problems for you, we wish you well, we wish no evil upon and we mean well but we will criticise as for that one you can expect it”, he said.
”This dear nation is all we have, let’s protect what we have, we are proud to be Ghanaians and let’s protect this nation”, he pleaded.
