Transport fares to go up today
Members of the Concerned Drivers Association and True Drivers Union have increased their transport fares by 10 percent effective today, Monday, 28 May 2018.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by David Agboado and Yaw Barimah PROs for Concerned Drivers Association and True Drivers Union respectively.
According to the groups, the increment has become necessary due to the “rapid and insensitive increment on fuel prices in recent times.”
The groups said they are left with no option than to “share this unwarranted burden put on us by the government with our customers” and have called on passengers to cooperate with the drivers in this regard.
