Number12: BBC rubbishes reports of distancing itself from Anas

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has rubbished reports circulating that they had no connection with Tiger Eye PI and Anas Aremeyaw Anas in their latest expose on African Football, dubbed: #12.

Media reports on Monday, July 17, 2018, suggested that, the BBC were not in any way connected to the ace journalist for his latest investigative piece on African Football.

“Dear followers, please note that reports circulating in the media that #BBCAfricaEye is distancing itself from Anas Aremeyaw Anas are completely untrue. In fact, we are currently working with Anas on a new project”.

The BBC in a tweet on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, says the reports circulating alleging it distance itself from the investigative journalist are completely untrue.

The BBC also stated that they are currently working with the ace investigator to bring out another piece.

Last month, the investigative journalist premiered a documentary which exposed the rot in Africa football.

This investigative piece has led to the suspension, resignations and dismissal of some football officials on the African continent, including then Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
