Aduaben Queen Mother advises young girls to avoid early sex

The Queen Mother of Aduaben in the Bosomtwe district in the Ashanti region, Nana Ama Kyifa II, has advised young girls to avoid early sex.
Nana Ama Kyifa II emphasized that it will enable them to focus on their education and future careers.
The queen mother, who is also the Otumfuo Adonten Hemaa, stated that indulging in early sex has the potential of getting pregnant, which may lead to school dropout.
Besides the pregnancy, she noted that contracting sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS, syphilis, and gonorrhea is possible, which can affect their health.
Nana Ama Kyifa II gave the advice during an engagement with young girls in the community to celebrate the Akwasidae festival on Sunday.
Nana Ama Kyifa II said she aims to empower the girls to make informed decisions about their lives, prioritizing education as a key factor in their personal and professional development.
The advice, according to her, “is expected to have a positive impact on the community, encouraging young girls to stay focused on their studies and future goals”.
The young girls, mostly school children, were grateful to the queen mother, assuring her of becoming obedient to achieve their dreams.
